Description
Author Victoria Price will present an intimate glimpse into her famous father’s life and career. As Vincent Price’s daughter and biographer, Victoria will share rare photos and stories about the King of Horror, one of whose most famous and iconic movies - “Theatre of Blood” - was filmed in Kensal Green cemetery.
Starring in films like “House of Wax”, “House on Haunted Hill” and “The Abominable Dr Phibes” Price became synonymous with camp horror schlock in the 1950s and 60s, due largely to his association with director Roger Corman. He also famously voiced the spooky monologue on Michael Jackson’s huge 1982 hit “Thriller”. But in real life Price was a true Renaissance man: he had a degree in Art History from Yale, was a gourmet chef (who published several books on the subject) and a connoisseur of the arts and fine wines.
Victoria Price will have copies of her biography of her father as well as his famous cookbooks for sale — and will be available for photographs and signings with fans. She will also take questions from the audience.
Tickets £12 including a 20% donation toward a host of restoration projects at Kensal Green Cemetery.
